ABOUT

Brooke is a senior at NC State University, earning a B.S. in Fashion and Textile Design with a minor in English. 

During high school she attended the Governor’s School of North Carolina, a summer program for intellectually gifted students, to study Visual Art (2016). In 2017, she received a first place Congressional Art Award and had her work displayed at the U.S. Capitol Building for a year. Also in 2017, she received a Scholastic Gold Key award for her 3D art portfolio, as well as several individual Gold and Silver Keys.

During her time in college, she has been recognized twice as an undergraduate designer at the International Textile and Apparel Association Conference (2018, 2019), as well as for sustainable design at the City of Raleigh Environmental Awards (2017). Most recently, she was the 2019 recipient of the Eden International Travel Award, and will travel to London for a 2 week internship with the Zandra Rhodes design firm. In 2019 she also received the Blanche Payne Scholarship Award.

Brooke is currently studying in Florence, Italy at Accademia Italiana. This summer she will be returning to the NC Governor’s School for her second year as a teaching assistant and counselor for visual art.
